There’s something about Heated Jackets

There’s just something about heated jackets. I dunno. It’s just that ever since I bought one from the internet (plusheat.com), I’ve grown to be more and more fascinated about them. I mean, it’s part jacket and it’s part “the future!” Imagine me saying that complete with cheesy hand gestures and bombastic horns for emphasis.

For those not in the know, these jackets deceivingly look like your everyday normal ones. But once you put in on, you’ll instantly know the difference between a normal boring one and a super hi-tech marvel of a jacket.

What is a heated jacket?

I’m glad you asked. These jackets are clothes specially made to provide heat every time the wearer (i.e. You) demands it. You see jackets, like all types of clothing, rely on residual body heat to maintain warmth. The problem with this, however, is that residual body heat tends to dissipate after some time. Even faster during wintertime.

And now, this is where the hi-tech stuff kicks in. Micro-alloy heating elements are placed within the jacket so that heat can be accessed instantly via remote control. Even more cooler, if yours is as cool as mine (puns intended), you’ll be able to customize the heat from warm to toasty hot in just a matter of clicks.

Just imagine, you can now be a winter god! Moving with ease across the Alps. Traversing the slopes while being as light as a feather. Forget about that itchy sweater, man. With this wonderful piece of textile, all you need is yourself and you’re good to go. No more layers upon layers of clothing just to walk a few measly steps across the driveway. No more turtlenecks and funny looking holiday sweaters to deal with every time the snowflakes start falling. Well, not unless your grandma or your kooky aunt gives you one in which case, you have to wear it for the time being.

There’s just something about heated jackets. It could be that they’re totally useful. It could be that they’re something straight from the future. It could be that I can’t leave home without it. Or maybe, I just really love them and they keep me warm at night just like a hug.
